Co-curated with Maria Luisa Frisa and Vittoria C. Caratozzolo, the exhibition was held in the Galleria del Costume, Palazzo Pitti and showed Simonetta as both couturier and aristocratic couture client.

Themed into eight rooms, more than fifty model creations by Simonetta Colonna di Cesaro’ were displayed from her own archive and international collections including the Museum at FIT. Also displayed were her portraits, such as those by Leonor Fini and René Gruau. and a millinery collection appropriately titled “La prima donna”, which Stephen Jones devoted to her in 2004.
