Diana Vreeland After Diana Vreeland

9th March – 6th June 2012
Museo Fortuny, Venice

The exhibition, divided into 4 sections, looked at: her influences, her style, her editorial eye and her work as a curator at the Costume Institute.

Her work as a curator informed the exhibition design, which looked as much at her preference for stocking-faced and brightly colored mannequins as the couture on display.

The 18th century wig that Harold Koda built for her whilst an intern at the Costume Institute was recreated for the exhibition by Angelo Seminara and exhibited without the gown.

Curated: Judith Clarke and Maria Luisa Frisa. Exhibition design: Judith Clark
